Barney Around the World

“Barney and Friends”, the famous TV. Show for children is not only popular in the United States. It has been aired in foreign countries too, for some time now and it seems to be more and more popular. Because the children it is aimed at are those between the age of 1 and 8, the episodes have been translated to the corresponding languages. Kids from the U.K. and Australia, who obviously need no translation, kids from Turkey, Israel, Germany, Spain and The Philippines can now enjoy 30 minutes episodes in their own mother tongue.

The show is also very popular in Latin America. In the beginning it was only translated into Spanish for Mexico. They called the show “Barney y Sus Amigos”. Soon enough the demand for episodes of this series grew all around Latin America. Also, the show is very popular in Germany and of course it has been translated into German too. Preschool aged children from all over the world are just crazy about Barney and his friends.
