A Day in the Park with Barney

A Day in the Park with Barney is a show for children made at the at Universal Studios Florida. It was created and opened back in 1995, on the site that used to belong to The Bates Motel Set and which was used in Psycho IV: The Beginning. The show is mostly based on the popular TV show for kids “Barney and Friends” and it features a backyard playground area where children get to meet Barney in person, either before the main show starts or after it finishes.

The show is a great recreation of what we know as “Barney and Friends” TV show. It uses great themes picked of the best episodes and guests have many surprises waiting for them, including a pre-show area which looks like the front of a house, with pipes and knobs and everything. Inside a fountain, there’s a statue of Barney standing on one foot.
